(New York, NY, May 1, 2006): X Radio has announced that it will debut New York radio personality, writer and television star Cooper Lawrence in a new addition to Lincoln Financial Media’s The Link format, which anchors on WLNK-FM/Charlotte. "The Cooper Lawrence Show" will air nationwide on weeknights live from 7:00 -10:00 PM, starting July 10, 2006.
Cooper Lawrence has been part of Elvis Duran’s morning zoo on Z-100/New York, and held on- air positions at Long Island’s WLIR-FM. This, combined with her experience in developmental psychology, writing books and magazine columns and producing Joan Rivers’ talk show in the 1990s will be brought to bear in the new show, featuring interactive talk and topics.

She won’t be the next radio shrink, but moreover, a radio girlfriend for The Link’s FM-based female-skewed audience. "
X Radio handles syndication for Lincoln Financial Media (formerly Jefferson-Pilot), and its Link format. "There is growing interest from operators seeking a unique format position in crowded radio markets," Stirland continued. "Cooper now provides the first nighttime alternative, joining Bob & Sheri and Matt & Ramona, plus options from ABC and Greenstone, as anchors for owners to take the leap into FM Talk for Women."
